Jiribam, May 27 2024: Colonel (retd) Gokul Chandra has been appointed as the new chairman of World Meetei Council (WMC) during the central executive committee (CEC) webinar meeting held on Sunday.

During the meeting, officiating chairman Dr KN Chand proposed vice chairman Col (Retd) Gokul Chandra as the new chairman of the WMC.

The proposal received unanimous support and agreement from all members present and consequently resolved to appoint Gokul Chandra as the new chairman of WMC.
