Noney, March 25 2022: Noney Battalion Assam Rifles of 22 Sector/Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised an Employment Generation Scheme Programme for the locals of Toudaijang village, Nungba sub-division on Thursday with an aim to increase awareness about the 'Right to Work', motivate the unemployed youth to choose the right career and to curb their mind set of joining underground (UG) groups.

The event began with a lecture on various government employment schemes, such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Prime Minister's Rozgar Yojna (PMRY).

A total of 40 villagers participated in the event while abiding with the Covid-19 safety measures.
