Chandel, December 05 2015 : Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Chandel today observed the International Soils Day under the theme "Soils- A solid ground for life" at KVK, Chandel complex today.

The programme was attended by Chandel DC Robert Kshetrimayum, AMTA, Chandel Project Director L Ingobi Singh, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Chandel Director K Brojen Singh, KVK, Chandel Programme Co-ordinator GP Kabui as presidium members.

250 Soil Health Cards were also distributed to farmers.

Utility and advantages of Soil Health Card and soil management for sustainable agriculture were deliberated during the technical session by Dr K Sonamani Singh, ACTO and Ts Leenda Monsang, ACTO.
