Imphal, April 03 2023: Governor Anusuiya Uikey and Chief Minister N Biren Singh have greeted people on Mahavir Jayanti.

"Lord Mahavir, an apostle of peace and non-violence, showed humanity the path to salvation through love, compassion, mercy and abdication of material elements.

His teachings transcend all barriers and his everlasting message of peaceful coexistence rings true even now.

While remembering and celebrating the birth of this apostle of people, let us re-dedicate to follow the spiritual and ethical path propounded by Him and follow his values of living in harmony and brotherhood" wished Governor Anusuiya Uikey in her message to the people.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh too greeted the people and said, "In observing this auspicious day, let us remind ourselves to be kinder and more compassionate to others" .
