USG operators sensitised on PC&PNDT Act

Imphal, July 30 2025: A one-day sensitisation programme for owners/operators of Ultrasound Sonography (USG) centres on the PC-PNDT Act and Rules was held at the conference hall of the Directorate of Family Welfare Services on Wednesday.

The programme, which was part of a series of events since July 28 to strengthen the implementation of the Act, culminated on Wednesday.

Family Welfare director Dr N Hemantakumar, along with PC&PNDT State Appropriate Authority chairperson Dr Irengbam Soniya, and PC&PNDT state nodal officer Dr Sujata Huidrom attended the event.

Around 120 ultrasound centre owners attended the programme.
