Imphal, September 26 2022: L Upendra Sharma has been appointed as a member of Tagore National Fellowship for Cultural Resource Expert Committee, which is under the Ministry of Culture.

He was selected as one of the five members of the National Selection Committee, formed to select scholars who will be doing researches on various topics.

L Upendra had previously held the post of director of Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, chairman of Naharol Sahitya Premi Samiti, and was also associated with State Kala Akademi, Sahitya Akademi and Sangeet Natak Akademi, among others.
