Birth anniversary of Lamabam Kamal observed

Imphal, March 03 2025: The Naharol Sahitya Premee Samiti, Imphal observed the 135th birth anniversary of Kaviratna Lamabam Kamal, one of the pioneer writers of Manipuri literature at Dr Kamal Literary Complex, Langthabal Kunja Mayai Leikai.

It was attended by Sahitya Akademi Awardee Rajkumar Bhubonsana Singh and Naharol Sahiya Premee Samiti Imphal president Naoroibam Indramani as presidium members.

During the programme, all the invitees and family members of the late poet paid floral tributes to the statue of Kaviratna Lamabam Kamal installed at the complex.

A poem reading session was also conducted wherein 34 writers read their poems.
