Snakebite victims saved

Loktak Brigade saved two snake bite victims in its area of responsibility.
N Mera, a 54 years old local from Bishnupur was bitten by a snake in the afternoon and brought to the Army Hospital at Bishnupur Brigade at 3.30 pm on Oct 2.The patient was administered with prompt anti venom serum and was kept under observation till his condition improved and got stable, said a statement ofPIB (Defence Wing).
Earlier, Ricke Singh, a 15 years old boy, a resident of Moirang district, was brought to the Brigade hospital after the victim was bitten by a snake in the morning of Sep 28 .
There were multiple bite marks on his lower limb.
The victim was attended by the medical team of the Brigade Hospital promptly and was treated with necessary medicines.
The timely treatment provided by the Loktak Brigade medical team at Bishnupur saved precious lives.
A total of eight snake bite case are registered in various locations of Loktak Brigade in last one month.
To spread awareness amongst the local population against the increased snake bite cases, a lecture was conducted by Noney Battalion for the benefits of locals on "Precautions and treatment against the snake bite cases" on October 2 .
