Nupi Marup condemns Kolkata rape

Imphal, August 19 2024: All Manipur Nupi Marup has strongly condemned the brutal rape and murder of Dr Moumita Debnath at RG Kar hospital, West Bengal.

In a condemnation note, the Marup said atrocities committed against Dr Moumita not only brought great shame to the people of India but West Bengal government's failure to round up the culprits reeks of patronising the perpetrators.

The Lup also lauded the Supreme Court and West Bengal high court for promptly taking up a case.
