Shots fired at retired doctor's residence

Imphal, May 08 2025: Unknown miscreant(s) opened fire at the Uripok Khoisnam Leikai residence of RIMS Medicine retired doctor Konjengbam Ghanachandra on Thursday around 6.45 pm.

According to police, a bullet mark could be observed at the iron gate of Dr Ghanachandra and a casing recovered from near the gate.

A police team led by Imphal West SP Ksh Shivakanta made spot inspection of the crime scene.

A case has been registered at Imphal police station case in this regard, it added.

There is no report on who fired the shot and the reason thereof till the time of filing of this report.
