Imphal, August 03 2025: The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) clarified that the organisation and its armed wing Red Army are unrelated in any manner with Yumnam Shashikantakumar Singh, 26 of Wabagai Mairembam Leikai, who was arrested by a team of Manipur police on Saturday from his residence along with one .32 pistol and eight rounds.

According to a PREPAK statement issued by publicity officer Mangal Khuman, it is habitual for Manipur police to link innocent civilians with revolutionary organisations after arrest and branding Sha-shikantakumar as PREPAK cadre after arrest is not new.
