The Rongmei Lu Phuam, Naga Women's Union and the victims' families of Khoupum gang-rape case have demanded immediate rehabilitation to the Khoupum rape victims besides demanding speedy trials and delivering fitting punishment against the perpetrators.
A joint statement issued by RLP, NWU and Victims' families today lamented that no action has been initiated even five months after the incident of the crime.
Citing Verma Commission recommendation that speedy trials are to be taken up in rape cases, the statement urged the concerned authority to speed up the trial in the matter.
