Imphal, September 23 2026: Special Commandos arrested a person allegedly involved in an attack on security forces at Khonghampat and seized several arms and ammunition today.

The person arrested has been identified as Seram Banerjee Meitei (30) of Khongman Atom Leirak.

The seized items include one AK Rifle, two INSAS magazines, one hand grenade and 71 assorted live rounds of different calibres.

The person and the seized items have been handed over to Sekmai police station.
