RK Kamaljit birth centenary concludes

Kakching, August 10 2025: The yearlong birth centenary of Rajkumar Kamaljit Singha, who was founder of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad (MSP), Tripura and Marup newspaper, as well as former MLA of Tripura, concluded at Agartala Press Club, Tripura on August 8 .

The programme organised by Marup and MSP was attended by ISKCON Manipur Development Council general secretary Dushari Gopal, Sahitya Akademi awardee Saratchand Thiyam, MSP president L Birmangal, Marup editor RK Tarunjit and scholar W Birmangal.

As part of the event, the first Rajkumar Kamaljit Singha Memorial Achievement Award 2025 was presented to noted 'Pung' and narrative arts artiste Maitham Nirmal Singha, followed by a poetry recitation dedicated to RK Kamaljit by 18 poets.
