Human remains found near Kongba river

Imphal, May 10 2024: The decomposed remains belonging to a human were found near Kajipat, located close to Kongba River under Irilbung police station on Friday morning.

According to a police report, the skeletal remains were discovered by some locals around 9.30am on Friday.

A team of Irilbung PS arrived at the location and conducted preliminary investigations.

Although the police searched the surrounding areas, no documentation or any other material to establish the identity of the deceased could be found.

The remains have been deposited at JNIMS morgue for post mortem examination, the report conveyed.
