Churachandpur, February 01 2022: A joint team of district police, NAB and forest department on Tuesday destroyed poppy plants which were found cultivated on a hillock of D Lhangjol village, about 10 km away from Churachandpur PS.

The hillock is a forest reserved area as stated by the forest officials, who took part in the operation.

The poppies were found growing over an area of about 18 acres.
