Abandoned shop catches fire

Imphal, December 29 2024: A shop in Moreh town earlier owned by a Meetei man, who fled the border town after May 3, 2023 incident, has been reduced to ashes by fire on Sunday evening.

According to a source, the shop owned by Pukhrambam Nilachandra remained closed since May 3, 2023 but caught fire suddenly at about 6pm Sunday.

However, fire service personnel of Moreh rushed immediately and the prevented the fire from spreading to adjoining buildings.
