Imphal, January 27, 2011: A hunter sustained bullet injuries when he was mistaken for an animal and shot by a fellow hunter.

A late report informed that the incident happened in a forest of Saikul under Senapati district.

Though the injured hunter has been identified as one Mangou (20) s/o Thangsei of Saikul, the exact date of the incident could not be confirmed.

Hit by a bullet apparently fired from a shot gun, Mangou was brought to RIMS on January 16. Mangou is currently undergoing treatment at RIMS orthopaedic ward.
