Coimbatore, Sep 05: Utter confusion prevailed over the name of Manipuri separatist leader, who was arrested from a hospital here this evening.

According to hospital records, where he was admitted, the name he had given was Kh Ibotombi.

He had provided a driving licence as proof and address as "Imphal East, Manipur." However, as the police registered the case, his original name was found as "Khundongbam," aged 55.Khundongbam has many aliases like Ibotombi, Sunil, Tomba and Ekombi.

Even the organisation, of which he was the general secretary, was wrongly mentioned initially as 'Manipur People's Liberation Army' instead of Manipur Peoples' Army.
