'Bandh unconstitutional'
Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, April 10 2018:
The State Government has issued an order declaring bandhs as unconstitutional and prohibiting any organisation/association/group/individual from calling any bandhs or blockades in the State which will cause inconvenience to the public.
It further instructed that any shop owner operating with valid licenses and transport vehicle owners who have obtained valid transport permits for transporting passengers will be liable for legal actions in case they participate in such bandhs.
It also ordered the State Police Department to take up necessary actions against the people involved in bandhs and blockades under the provisions of the existing law.
