Imphal, January 27, 2011: MEELAL members staged a sit-in-protest in front of their head office against the reported monetary demand made by KCP-MTF to their working president Sadokpam Tomba Mangang from Ningombam.

Speaking to media persons by the sideline of the protest demonstration, MEELAL publicity secretary Ningthoumacha Meirikkhomba lamented that making monetary demands from such a person who has been working for development of Manipuri language for a long time is not fair.

He appealed to the KCP-MTF (Sunil Meetei) to take back their demand and also not to make such demands to any member of MEELAL in future.

However, the outfit is refusing to budge from its stand.
