Three held in SDC Kumbi office arson case

Bishnupur, October 15 2024: In connection with torching of the SDC, Kumbi office on September 26, three persons have been arrested by Bishnupur District Police on Monday and subsequently remanded to police custody for four days.

Identifying the accused trio as Moirangthem Ajaykumar (22), Wahengbam Prabhakar (27), both of Kumbi Thong Leikai, and Khumanthem Jesper (23) of Kumbi Ishing Chaiba Leikai, a police station said, all three admitted to committed act of arson at the SDC office.

The statement also asserted that search is on to arrest others involved in the same crime.
