AR ensures safe passage for citizens

Imphal, October 20 2024: Assam Rifles provided secure transportation to 16 residents, including school-going children and a senior citizen of Kwatha who required urgent medical attention from Kwatha to Pallel and back yesterday .

A press release issued by IGAR (South) said that the villagers were safely escorted in protected vehicles, with the patient receiving ambulance support.

Since the onset of recent tensions, Assam Rifles has played a crucial role in safeguarding the community at Kwatha, providing a reassuring presence at all times, it added.

T Sanjoy Singh, village secretary of Kwatha praised Assam Rifles for its assistance to the villagers.
