CDO OC suspended for alleged misconduct

Imphal, August 10 2025: Director General of Police (DGP), Manipur has placed inspector Ningthoujam Devdas Singh, officer-in-charge of CDO Imphal East, under suspension with immediate effect for alleged grave misconduct.

According to an order issued on Sunday, the action was taken under Rule 66 of the Assam Police Manual Part III as a disciplinary proceeding is being contemplated against him.

During the suspension period, inspector Devdas Singh's headquarters will be at the office of the SP, Imphal East district, and he will not be allowed to leave the station without prior permission from the competent authority.

He will be entitled to receive subsistence allowances as per rules during the suspension, the order stated.
