Imphal, February 01: Reacting to the news report about the suicide of Safai Karamchari Avdesh Kumar at Detachment Hqs 48 Bn CRPF Kaimai and the suspected reason behind the extreme step, Commandant of 48 Bn CRPF has clarified that leave for Avdesh had already been sanctioned on January 15.However he could not proceed on leave due to his poor health condition as he was suffering from depression following family problems.

The Commandant denied the report that Avdesh committed suicide due to denial of leave by his seniors.
