Picnic Ban at Kanglatombi

Imphal, November 02 2014:
A joint meeting of four clubs held at the Gorkha Jyoti Youth Club, Kanglatongbi on October 11 resolved to ban enjoying picnics at the Sekmai River.
The resolution was made to put an end to unwanted crimes carried out by picnic parties in the area, reported a press release today.
Phaileng Youth Club, Luwangshangbam Youth Club, Gorkha Navayuk Sangh Mandir and Gorkha Jyoti Youth Club together in the release, warned that violators will be imposed a fine of Rs.10,000/-.The meeting also resolved to prohibit hunting of birds and other animals at Hatikhuwa Village of Kanglatongbi and its surrounding areas.
