Youth campaign kicks off

Imphal, January 27, 2011: A six month long campaign under the theme 'Youth Initiative for the Publicity of Message Development and Peace in Manipur (YIPMDPM) organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Manipur under the sponsorship of Ministry of Home Affairs kicked off on January 26 at the Youth Hostel, Khuman Lampak Imphal.

For a smooth implementation of the campaign, 100 NYK volunteers have been deployed in all the nine districts of Manipur.

The campaign will cover 2648 villages.

The project is aimed at creating an environment among the youths to understand their predicament and to promote a culture of a healthy life style, to create an awareness about the National Schemes and to ensure their participation in the national mainstream.
