Manipur State Kala Akademi condoles

All the employees of Manipur State Kala Akademi led by its secretary L Kishworjit Singh deeply condoled the sudden demise of noted writer, Prof Elangbam Dinamani Singh on December 3 and observed two minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
A recipient of Manipur State Kala Akademi Award in Literature (1985) and the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award (1982), Dinamani was one of the few writers who have left indelible impression in Manipur literature, said a statement of Manipur State Kala Akademi, Secretary.
It maintained that Dinamani was a poet, a short story writer, a novelist, a dramatist, a translator and a critic, all blended into one and known for his satirical humour tinged with humanistic outlook.
The statement conveyed that the Manipur State Kala Akademi and its entire staff extended their sincere condolence and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace at the heavenly abode.
