Maoist claims hand in attacks

Imphal, July 17 2013:
Maoist Communist Party, Manipur has claimed to have planted the remote-controlled Improvised Explosive Device (IED) which was found at the residence of Ningthoujam Saratchandra at Sagolband Thongam Leikai on July 12 .
A statement issued by the Secretary of Publicity and Propaganda of the outfit said that Saratchandra is the brother of RIMS Director Dr Sekharjit's wife and he has been involved in several cases of corruption.
The bomb was planted as a warning to him.
The outfit also claimed responsibility for the bomb planted at the office of an NGO established in the name of Director's father-in-law Ningthoujam Ibohal at Changangei Ucheckon and the grenade lobbed at the residence of Director Dr Sekharjit.
