MNP demands 'dengue budget'

Meitei Nationalist Party (MNP) has demanded the State Government to allocate 'dengue budget' in the annual State Budget to tackle dengue related problems in Manipur.
If the State Government has already allocated such budgets, then the party asked the Government to give details on how much of it has been spent so far in tackling dengue in Manipur and the total amount year wise allocated so far on dengue from January 2007-2015, a press statement said.
Meitei Nationalist Party said the Government of India formulated a Long Term Action Plan on dengue for the State to implement it on January 2007 .
Meitei Nationalist Party reminded that as per PIB, the Union Cabinet Secretary PK Sinha, in his review on preventive and clinical management measures to deal with Dengue in the states and the Capital Region of Delhi, directed that each hospital should be advised to set up a 24/7 separate unit manned by a senior doctor to attend to all fever related cases.
