Pineapple Fest held in modest manner

Kakching, July 12 2021: The 14th edition of the annual Pineapple Festival of Andro organised every year at Thambalnu Market by Development Organisation Andro Kendra (DOAK) was held in a modest manner due to Covid-19 pandemic on Monday.

The festival, sponsored by NEC, was organised under the aegis of MIDH Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Manipur and EBADA.

According to DOAK general secretary Hidangmayum Okenjit Sharma, the festival was organised just for name sake in the interest of the pineapple farmers in view of the Covid crisis that the state is facing right now.
