Imphal, June 14 2021: The 3rd foundation day of Tungi Yumbi De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centre was celebrated at its Moidangpok Maning Leikai campus on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Centre's chief functionary Th Pradip informed that it has been providing free treatment to those substance abusers who belong to below poverty line (BPL) families.

Around 1280 addicts have been treated at the centre so far with 35 per cent able to join the mainstream and live life as normal citizens, he said, while adding that 10 addicts from BPL families were treated free of cost this year.

Among others, senior counsellor Kangjam Gandhi also attended the celebration.
