Imphal, April 12 2016:
Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has
said that unwanted incidents have happened in the aftermath of the
Mayang Imphal Yangbi incident due to Government's failure of
not taking up preventive measures on time.
In a statement, SDPI questioned why Mayang Imphal police
have refuted to register a case regarding the incident.
It further said that befitting action must be taken against
those who burnt down houses and shops.
The Government must reconstruct the houses and shops
and compensate the victims at the earliest, SDPI said.
It also demanded the Government to deploy Central secu-
rity forces at different areas of Mayang Imphal AC and appoint
a non-valley officer as the OC of Mayang Imphal police
station.
It also urged the public not to believe rumours.
