Imphal, October 29 2021: Special Judge POCSO, Senapati adjourned the trial of POCSO case against the accused Gangbi Gangmei till High Court of Manipur gives an appropriate direction.

The order was passed today during the charge sheet hearing against the accused who have been alleged to have sexually assaulted a minor girl during the Gaan Ngai celebration on January 11, 2020 and multiple times thereafter.

The Court adjourned the trial stating that the further proceeding of the case may not be suitable as a video clip has gone viral on social media wherein the chairman of the JAC representing the victim have raised questions on the integrity of Special PP and the Court regarding the pending case.
