AR rushes accident victims to hospital

Imphal, October 25 2024: Assam Rifles on Friday provided urgent aid to victims of a serious accident in Kamjong, where a Mahindra pick-up truck veered off the road due to poor weather and plunged into a deep gorge.

A swift response of the Assam Rifles medical team saved the life of one person, while two others were declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The Assam Rifles team arrived at the scene within 25 minutes and worked diligently to free, the victims from the wreckage while providing critical medical assistance.

The injured were then evacuated to the District Hospital in Ukhrul, according to a PRO IGAR (S) release.
