Under the sponsorship ofthe Indian Council ofAgriculture Research, New Delhi, a three-day farmers' training programme was jointly organised by the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT), Kochi, Vishakhapatnam and Krsihi Vigyan Kenra (KVK), Thoubal Wangbal has commenced today at KVK, Thoubal Wangbal, reports our correspondent.
The training programme has been organised with an aim to impart knowledge on the application of modern technolgies to ensure increased fish production.
The inaugural programme was also attended by Dr Rajeshori, Scientist In-Charge cum Principal Scientist, CIFT, Kochi, Vishakhapatnam, Dr Raghu Prakash, Principal Scientist, CIFT, Kochi, Vishakhapatnam and Dr Y Bedajit, SMS, Fishery, KVK, Thoubal.
Modern technologies used in fish farming which were especially brought from CIFT, Kochi, Vishakhapatnam Centre were also distributed to the farmers.
