AR saves snake bite victims

Imphal, August 20 2017:
Precious lives of four snake bite victims were saved by 5 JAK RIF of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) in the last five days by providing timely and necessary medical assistance .
According to a press release of PRO IGAR (S), the victims Salam Lata Devi (42) resident of Sekmaijin village of Imphal West district and Sanahanbi Devi (78) resident of Leimaram village of Bishnupur district were bitten by a cobra on August 14 and 15 respectively .
Kh Athoi (50) resident of Thanga village of Bishnupur district was bitten by a viper on August 16.Laskhmon Singh (60) resident of Hainoubok village of Imphal West district was bitten by a Cobra on August 18 .
The victims were readily attended to by the medical team and necessary first aid was administered to save their lives .
The timely Action of the medical team under Capt JS Dhillon, Regimental Medical Officer saved all the precious human lives by pulling them back from the brink of death, the release said.
