One killed, 26 hurt in mishap

Imphal, August 29: At least one passenger, a woman, was killed while 26 other passengers including 11 women were wounded when the bus in which they were travelling met with an accident at Joypur Khunou under Bishnupur Police Station at around 4.30 am today.

The woman passenger who was killed in the accident has been identified as Khundongbam Ongbi Tombi Devi (47) w/o Khundongbam Rajendro of Nachou Mayai Leikai.

All the injured passengers have been admitted at RIMS Hospital at Lamphel and Shija Hospital.

Police have seized the bus bearing registration number MN05-1111 .
