Transporters decry unbearable demands

Thoubal, October 20 2024: The Thoubal District Transporters Union (TDTU) today stopped passenger service for a day and staged a sit-in-protest at Wangjing, Kodom- pokpi, Heirok Lamkhai against the unbearable monetary demands levied on them.

Speaking at the protest event, one of the drivers said that the protest is being organized by at least 12/13 passenger service organisations operating in Thoubal district against the unbearable monetary demands in the name of the ongoing conflict.

The protestors raised various slogans and placards to immediately halt the monetary demands in the name of the conflict.
