Slow Loris released to wild at Gwarok Reserved Forest

Thoubal, June 19 2021: A Slow Loris was released into the wild at Gwarok Reserved Forest today by Thoubal Forest Division DFO, Th Lokendro after receiving treatment for 11 days.

The Slow Loris was rescued from Yairipok Kekru by the volunteers of Joint Coordination Committee on Wildlife and Biodiversity (JCCWB) Manipur on June 7 and was given medical treatment with the assistance of District Veterinary Thoubal.

Th Lokendro extended his appreciation to JCCWB for their initiative to protect the wildlife and all the people who informed the committee about the Slow Loris.

The event was participated by the staff of Yairipok BO; Honorary wildlife Warden, W Ramchandra and volunteers of JCCWB.
