AMYFU cancels Yoga Day observance

Imphal, June 13 2024: The Executive Committee meeting of All Manipur Yoga Fraternity Union (AMYFU) held on June 9, 2024, has resolved to not celebrate the 10th edition of International Day of Yoga, 2024, which falls on June 22, in view of the current turmoil and unrest situation gripping the State since May 3, 2023 .

In a release, AMYFU also appealed to all the members of Yoga Centres/Associations Covered under the umbrella of AMYFU, Imphal not to participate/celebrate the International Day of Yoga, as a mark of solidarity to the victims and those taking shelter in the relief camps for more than one year.
