Imphal, July 09 2024: Close on the heels of the tragic suicide of a displaced person on July 6, another IDP attempted suicide by hanging himself inside the relief camp opened at Takmu Water Sports complex, Laishoi, Bishnupur district last night.

As the man tried to hang himself inside his room at around 11.30 pm, some IDPs saw him and they immediately alerted other IDPs.

The IDPs rushed into the room and saved the man who is living together with his parents, wife and two children aged seven and four at the relief camp, sources informed.
