State Govt slashes petrol, diesel price by Rs 7/L

Imphal, November 04 2021: Following the Central Government's decision to cut Central excise duty on petrol by Rs 5 and diesel by Rs 10 per litre, the State Government has also decided to reduce the VAT on both petrol and diesel by Rs 7 each per litre effective from November 4.With this reduction, the prices of petrol and diesel in the State will be slashed by Rs 12 per litre and Rs 17 per litre respectively, said an order issued by the Government today.

The price of petrol which was Rs 111.35 per litre (approx) on November 3 will be Rs 99.38 per litre (approx) and diesel which was priced at Rs 99.39 per litre on November 3 will be reduced to Rs 82.51 per litre (approx) from November 4 onwards.
