Polling ends peacefully in Churachandpur, records 72.42 poll percentage

Churachandpur, April 19 2024:
Polling ended on a peaceful note across the four Assembly segments of Churachandpur district today while poll percentage of votes in the district was pegged at 72.42 percent at 5 PM today.
Meanwhile, polling personnel, Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), and security personnel have started arriving at the Mini-Secretariat Campus, Tuibong from their respective polling stations.
There are a total of 289 polling booths in the district.
There are two special polling stations for I-Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency in the district with about 517 electorates and 13 special polling stations for IDPs for II-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency in the district with about 3,759 voters.
119 polling stations were managed exclusively by a female polling team.
The district has a total of 183109 voters, including 87612 male voters, 95492 female voters, and 5 third gender voters.
Assembly Constituencywise poll percentage at 5 PM is 57-Henglep - 79.6 percent, 58-Churachandpur AC -64.35 percent, 59-Saikot -72.42 percent and 60-Singhat - 79.72 percent; 15 Special Polling Stations - 75 percent.
Two polling personnel each of the 18 polling stations were airlifted along with the EVMs in an IAF chopper and the rest of the polling teams were dispatched for their designated polling stations by road.
