Imphal, September 01 2024: The Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS) Manipur has vehemently condemned the targeted killing of a woman and injuring her 11 year old daughter and many State security personnel by Kuki terrorists at Koutruk at around 2 pm today.

Both the State Government and the Central Government must take up strong actions as per law against the Kuki terrorists for their acts of terrorism, FOCS said in a press release.

Even though the Kuki terrorists, armed with sophisticated weapons, have killed many women and children, the Government of India is still acting as a mute spectator.

Now, the Kuki terrorists have started bombing Meitei settlements using drones as seen today.

If the Government of India still chooses to remain silent, the people of Manipur may be compelled to demand the State's pre-merger status, it said.

It then urged both the Central Government and the State Government to send additional security forces immediately and neutralise the Kuki terrorists.
