Murder of Dr Kishan and two staff: HC asks for case diary

The Gauhati High Court has asked respondents of the murder case of Dr Thingnam Kishan and his two subordinate staff to produce excerpts of the case diary of the CBI relating to any enquiry/investigation, if there is any, made by the investigating agency with regard to the involvement of the Ukhrul DC Pankaj Kumar Pal.
The Court issued this ruling today after perusing a complaint filed by Dr Kishan's father Thingnam Surendro seeking registration of an FIR against Pankaj Kumar Pal.
The respondents listed in the case include the State of Manipur, represented by the Chief Secretary, the DGP, SP Ukhrul and OC Ukhrul PS.
Advocate S Risom is appearing on behalf of respondent No 1 while senior Govt Advocate Th Ibohal is appearing on behalf of the other respondents.
Advocate Khaidem Mani is appearing on behalf of the petitioner.
Notably, trial of NSCN-IM Lt Col Hopeson Ningshen, the prime accused in the triple murder case has been already started.
