NSCN-K said today that the outfit is deeply shocked to learn about the assault on Naga Hoho leaders Chuba Ozukum, G Vashum and Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) member Nepuni Piku on May 9 .
"The perpetrators of the crime, whether committed on their own or at the behest of any authority, must be booked at the earliest irrespective of party affiliation.
GPRN/NSCN does not believe in targeting Naga leaders.
Such barbaric behaviors, as Naga history shows, have always been counter productive.
GPRN/NSCN is prepared to assist the investigating agency to unearth the truth behind the assault," said the NSCN-K .
"We sincerely hope that the three leaders would quickly recover from this unfortunate incident and return stronger in the service of the Nagas," the NSCN-K added.
