Imphal, August 09, 2014:
Family members of priority households selected for the National Food Security Act (NFSA) have been identified but uploading their names in relevant websites would take a month or two.
According to a official source in the Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Department, ration cards given to beneficiary households did not have the names of family members except the heads of families.
There would be no change in AAY as the beneficiaries are entitled to 35 Kgs of rice per month.
But for the Food Security Act, it is crucial to identify the number of family members as priority households would be given 5 Kgs of rice per member of the family per month.
It would take a month or two to upload beneficiary lists of National Food Security Act together with all the names of the family members.
The process would also involve transfer of husbands to wives etc.
Claiming that identification process of the family members of priority households has been completed, the source maintained that it is essential to upload names and details of all family members of priority households in relevant websites.
