Relief items have also been distributed earlier to households affected by COVID-19 at Tentha by K Priyojit.

Speaking on the sidelines, K Priyojit said that he will continue to extend help to the people to help in easing the sufferings due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

He also appealed to all to strictly follow the Covid SOPs and guidelines issued by the State to protect oneself and to contain the further spread of the pandemic.

THOUBAL
MLA of Wangkhem Assembly Constituency Keisham Meghachandra appealed to all to come forward and help in fighting against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

He made the above statement during a relief item distribution programme in Wangkhem AC yesterday.

The relief items were distributed at Kekru Khul and Heitroipokpi Khoirom in the constituency today.

He continued that his aim of providing relief items to around 15, 000 households of Wangkhem AC will be completed after today's distribution programme.

Speaking on the sidelines, he stressed on the need of timely information to the authorities concerned if there are any Covid positive cases instead of hiding it which will only worsen the situation.

It has been found that most of the Covid related fatalities in Wangkhem AC were due to delay in getting the required medical attention, he added.

He urged the people of the constituency to avail the necessary treatment as Community Home Isolation Centres have been opened and enough medical staff and ambulance are there to cater to the needs of the people.

Further he also thanked the members of polling committees, members of local clubs, organisations and meira paibis who helped in his initiative and requested all to inform him if any households were not covered during the distribution programme.
