Special camps set up for Good Governance Week in Bishnupur

Bishnupur, December 20 2024: The District Administration Bishnupur, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Lourembam Bikram, joined the nationwide celebration of "Good Governance Week - Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore" campaign with special camps organized at various Gram Panchayats of Bishnupur district today.

The special camps were set up at Khoijuman Kwasiphai and Nachou Gram Panchayats for Bishnupur CD Block and Ngangkhalawai and Wangoo Terakhong Gram Panchayats for Moirang CD Block with active public participation.

The initiative seeks to bring governance closer to the citizens, especially in rural areas, to ensure the benefits of government schemes and services are being reached at every comer of the country.

The campaign will continue throughout the week and will be extended to different Gram Panchayats across all the three CD Blocks, Nambol, Bishnupur and Moirang to facilitate in providing assistance with public grievances.

The camps featured stalls from several Government departments, including Social Welfare, CAF & PD, Education, Medical, Transport, PWD, MSPDCL, Sericulture, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, District Child Protection Unit and Agriculture.

These stalls provided a variety of services including the issuance of certificates, new job card enrolments, and awareness campaigns on Government schemes.

It may be mentioned that the week-long Nationwide campaign, which began yesterday, focuses on effective redressal of public grievances and improving service delivery for effective Governance.

The initiative seeks to bring governance closer to the citizens, especially in rural areas, to ensure the benefits of Government schemes and services reach every comer of the country.
